We have got out and about this past week, which means the trusty moleskine sketchbook has tagged along with me - and predictably I'm sharing those sketches with you today
this next view was done purely as a tonal sketch...the very dark areas on the left-hand page tell me these were dark trees
I didn't stick with just pencil though as one day I took some paints with me and did this sketch in Ilfracombe....the building on the left (looks like a tower) is in fact a Theatre
and whilst on the same trip I did this quick sketch of the park with its Bandstand
another day we took a trip over to Crow Point at Braunton - I have a folding chair which came in very handy as I could spend more time in comfort sketching/painting - this couple actually had a little dog with them but I left him out
and a family out with their children who were having great fun exploring and climbing a rock..
and way off in the distance I saw the wind turbines, so they had to get in on the sketching too
Apart from that I have submitted some sketches into 'Somewhere To Sketch' ....
Do stop by Somewhere To Sketch and we would love it if you joined in too. From next month, Lynn Cohen my co-host and I are opening up the blog to invite you to "Choose A Location'. All the info on this you will find on that blog. Looking forward to seeing you there.
Hoping you all have a great weekend
and I am Linking to PAINT PARTY FRIDAY today
with many Thanks to EVA & Kristin for hosting
