How apropos! Castles in the UK! LOL (We just watched a show on the Smithsonian channel tonight about the many castles in the UK! Holy cow there are a lot!)

I am fascinated with tracks in the sand, especially paw prints for some reason,
but we don't get any horse's hooves! It's nice to see kiddies handiwork they leave behind!

I know, think they built them to fend off invaders....doesn't seem to have worked though! lol. (They must have been cold draughty places, still are I guess) ;)

You're right, they are interesting....a sign down on the beach says 'Please leave only your footprints' (says it all doesn't it) :-)
